Last night the Chiefs were kicking off the mid week footy as they were facing the British and Irish Lions.This lions team looked powerful and strong with some of their players that played last week against the Maori All Blacks were getting a rest as they earned their spot into the test team that will be playing the All Blacks this Saturday in Auckland.The Chiefs team was not at full power as some of their key players were selected in the All Blacks team that will be playing the Lions this weekend but the Chiefs were up for the battle.Firstly the Chiefs did their haka then shortly it was time to kick off,as the Lions kicked off to the chiefs to start the game, in the first half both teams were looking sharp but as soon as the lions started breaking the Chiefs line they were awarded with 3 points.And soon after that they were awarded with another 3 points so the score line was 6-0 but the chiefs started looking good with their big runs and they earned 3 points.As the game was looking close the lions, hit back with a try to the England winger and the score line for half time was 13-3.The second half was a whole different story as the lions scored 3 tries that put them into a lead that was hard to catch up to, 34-6.And to Warren Gatland the Lions Coach, He said that was a good win as they head in to the 3 test against the All Blacks.Good win Lions, looking forward to this Saturday.
