KiwiCan 2017

WALT: Reflect on our first session of Kiwi Can for 2017

Last week was our first Kiwi Can session for this year,to me I felt good and happy to be back  at Kiwi Can again because kiwi can can help me develop my skills of working together with other people and also to help me have a growth mindset towards everything in life. As we made our way down to the Music room.Ms Latoya came out and gave us all a number and told us to go inside and to sit in 4 lines according to the number we got told from Ms Latoya. In my group I was with Gary, Losana, Ana, Faith, Agnes and Rosemary. So Mr M said were to play a game using names of Fruits, the fruit's were Apple,Orange,Banana and Pear. I didn't know what Mr M meant at first but then he told the class that it was dance moves. The dance moves are like this; Apple, Hips to the right, Pear, Hips to the left, Orange, Jump to the front and Banana, jump to the back.

PolyFest 2017

WALT: Reflect on what we did at polyfest.

Have you ever been to a sleepover?or to poly fest or even too the panmure pools. The year 7 and 8’s had the opportunity to do all of this in week 7 just in two days.

On Thursdays 16th of March we had the opportunity to attend this year's poly fest at manukau sports bowl,Polyfest is known to be the biggest polynesian festival in the world.’’That's really cool aye’’?As soon as we got there I saw lots and lots of students from other different schools around Aotearoa, But what took my mind away was the yummy food all lined up and waiting for people to buy them.To me I was not that happy as we were walking by some stages because hardly of the Schools weren't performing then,But then I heard a big noise coming from the Diversity Stage we were off,as we made our way in and looked up I thought it was a herd of sheeps as all of the chairs were packed of people sporting their schools.

I thought the South African and Fijian dances were amazing because this was my first time seeing how they tell their stories through dancing. To me I felt happy and heartwarming when I saw all of them putting 100% into their performances,to me it tells me where ever you come from you should be proud of it because it makes the person inside of you stronger and also everyone's Cultures are different to each other and you should be proud to show the world where you come from and how unique you are.

Please leave a comment and I'll be back to you ASAP.Thankyou.

Digital Dig 2017

WALT: Find new shortcuts.

Yesterday we had Cybersmarts with Mrs Shearing. But today I was just bolging on what I did on last weeks session with my mate Gary and Metui.Last week we got told, some shortcuts that you could use for your netbooks. At first I thought it was hard but when we started to work and tried to find shortcuts it was getting better .Something that I felt challenging was trying to find more new shortcuts and something that I felt ejoying was just working hard with my classmates on this tasks.Something that I think I need to work on is time management.

Please leave a comment and I will be back to you!Thankyou!

Eels...

Hi, last Tuesday we had reading buddy day with Room 3,and then our Teacher told us that we were doing some research about Eels.

Here is our work that we did on a DLO with my two buddies ,Gary and Gath, what do you know about EELS! Did you know that out of all the species of Eel 2 originate from New Zealand? Then after that our Teacher asked us if we knew what a amphibian was? to me I was lost, but then my mate Gary remembered me that it was a cold blooded creature and an Eel is a cold blooded creature. After completing every slide with my buddies,my year 3 buddie had to created his own Eel on the last slide. It was good seeing my buddy getting into his work and also finishing it.

Thankyou and please leave a comment!!

Wellington phoenix's keep their final hopes alive.

WALT: Write a reflection on a news article.

As some of us know the Wellington Phoenix have kept their play-offs hopes alive with a close win over the Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium .Goals scared by Roy Krishna and Shane Smeltz gave Wellington just their 2end win at Suncorp Stadium,Brisbane,Aus.The League’s topscorer,Shane Smeltz, hit first in the 31st minute with one of his best diving headers into the bottom corner of the net.A late goal from the Roar gave them a hope of a come back but the Phoenix held on.Something that I found challenging was remembering what happened and the scores of the game and something I found ejoying was seeing them play like a team and also seeing them with their final hopes still alive.
